CCTV has already been promoting this <Dream Choir> show for the past month with an Anson recruitment video "VCR" in Shanghai. From my understanding: there is a celebrity representative from 8 different locations. Each celebrity will get to coach 20 recruited local contestants, and they will form a "dream choir" that will represent their location and compete for a grand prize. Anson is with Shanghai, and I recall seeing Yoga Lin with HangZhou, etc. Hence, Anson has recently returned back to this hometown to promote and to meet with his 20 contestants for the <Dream Choir> event. Wow aren't the fans lucky? According to the article, if you are one of those 20 contestants, you get to enter into a 2 month training session. It looks like they will get many chances to interact with Anson! 


October 28th, 2011 - CCTV's new large-scale television event <Dream Choir> has recently completed recruitment in Shanghai. "R&B prince" Anson Hu Yan Bin has returned to his home town, and together with 20 auditioned contestants, will form a singing choir to compete with seven other cities and regions. The winning team will receive a generous amount of public welfare funding to their home town, and it will help them complete their hometown dream.




Looking for literary young talent

Recently held a concert and had just landed, Anson Hu shows no signs of fatigue. In the recruitment period, his home town gave full supoort, from Bund to Tian Zifang, and everywhere were filled with welcoming messages. When he returned to his Shanghai Musical College, he not only saw his origial teachers, but he also played basketball with his new "brothers" on the court. When he received an interview, he said: "The feeling of home is very friendly, I want all those who know me, and those who like my music to join my choir, and to compete for our hometown."

Shanghai is a place full of bourgeois and culture in the alley. You will run into teenagers who love all kinds of music, and also those who love foreigner music. Anson Hu said that he caem back to find these teenagers in the crowd.

At Shanghai's Super Brand Mall, Anson did a small event to recruit his choir. Once he appeared, many fans rushed into the scene. Many fans also asked how they were able to join the choir. Anson recruited on the spot, welcoming all fans to join. He expressed that they will enter a two month training to develop feelings with each other.



Sunshine House: Helping people with disabilities is a public dream

CCTV major television event <Dream Choir> encourages fighting for the public welfare of their hometown. In Shanghai, the WABC and public projects will collaborate in a "barrier free way." Upon return to hometown Shanghai, Anson Hu quickly paid his visit to children who has artistic talent. He will set up his "dream choir" and will hopefully win to receive the welfare funds to help them. This is Shanghai's public welfare dream!

Anson Hu entered a "Sunshine home" to see the family of teachers and students with intellectual disabilities who were singing and dancing. Especially when they were singing the chrous of song <Happy Little Child 快樂的小琴童>, it touched the presence of everyone, and caught everyone to sang along with them.

According to the teachers at "Sunshine house", although they are mentally retarded, they are not stupid, and are even very smart. Anson Hu volunteered to challenge them to a drawing contest: to see who can draw the best. Although his singing is great, but for drawing, this is his first time. He was not scared, and he brushed on stroke after stroke, to represent the hope in his heart. Half an hour later, everyone has finished their drawing, but Anson had only drew 13 hands and 1 heart. He wishes people can join hands, like dedication of love. These children with disabilities also won the praise of everyone, as their drawings were simple and it shows their pure dream!

Subsequently, Anson Hu had rehearsed his cover version of a the classic song <My future Is Not A Dream 我的未來不是夢>. He professionally and patiently rehearsed with the auditioned contestants in a choir form, which touched everyone.


8 singing celebrities, 8 beautiful hometowns, 8 chorus groups: How will these civilians struggle to collaborate with the celebrities to perform their sorrows, joys, and emotions? Look forward to <Dream Choir> show which will air from November 12, 2011 to January 14, 2012, every Saturday night in CCTV channels.
